We\u2019re still here! \u00a0We packed several Covid self tests and we\u2019ve both tested negative each time. \u00a0Fingers crossed for the test we take before our flight home!\ud83e\udd1e<\/p>\n

We are very happy with our hotel choice in Pylos -Karalis Beach Hotel. \u00a0It sits right on the water and from our balcony, have a view of Pylos, the clear waters,\u00a0and the rocky shore below.<\/span><\/p>\n

Today we drove to Voidokilia Beach – in the shape of the Greek letter Omega, it forms a semicircle of dunes.<\/p>\n

From the sandy beach, we followed a rocky path uphill to an archeological site of an Mycenaean tomb.<\/p>\n

The seaside village of Gialova is nearby. \u00a0There are upscale shops and restaurants right on the beach – after our trek, we stopped for a lunch of Calamari and Greek Salad. \u00a0Gialova is very popular in the summer – it\u2019s still early in the season now and not very busy.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re not eager to leave Pylos but tomorrow we\u2019ll drive 3.5 hours to return the rental car to the Athens Airport. \u00a0From there, we\u2019ll take public transportation into the city for a four night stay.<\/p>\n

We will miss these glorious sunsets. \u00a0It\u2019s beautiful here!<\/p>\n
