We rented an apartment at El Armador Casa Palacio<\/b>. \u00a0It\u2019s spacious and the small kitchen makes it handy to have breakfast and a light dinner in. \u00a0The location is perfect though we confess, we\u2019ve walked more miles than we care to admit, trying to find our way back to our temporary home base. \u00a0Here\u2019s the living room:<\/p>\n

The Museo de Cadiz <\/b>is just around the corner. \u00a0It\u2019s under renovation but we were able to view a nice mix of archeological finds, Roman statues and fine art. \u00a0We especially liked this statue of Livia with flecks of blue paint from antiquity left on her gown. \u00a0Tiberius is seen lurking behind her.<\/p>\n

Nearby, a cute shop sells handmade-in-Spain Lobe\u00a0<\/strong>shoes designed by the owner and her friend. \u00a0If you like shoes, check out their website at: www.lobespain.com<\/p>\n

The Mercado Central<\/b> has lots of casual outdoor dining stalls with many fresh seafood choices. \u00a0Today we tried the fried calamari; crispy, tiny shrimp omelets; and grilled tuna sandwiches. \u00a0All good! \u00a0Small tapas-style plates make it easy to try several things!<\/p>\n

In the afternoon we found the Cathedral rather by accident after stumbling around looking for something else! \u00a0The narrow streets of Cadiz wind and twist around in ways that confuse us, though perhaps we\u2019re easily confused. \u00a0In any case, it turned out to be a good time to see the inside of the cathedral\u2026<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been another good day in Old Cadiz! \u00a0So far, the weather is still nice enough in the evening for us to have an aperitivo at an outdoor cafe. \u00a0It\u2019s a popular thing to do so we\u2019ll join the crowd! \u00a0Cheers!<\/p>\n
