We’ve had a great time in Poland with many surprises around every corner!<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Our last couple of days in Gda\u0144sk were filled with museum visits. We visited the National Museum<\/strong> to see this triptych altarpiece titled Last Judgement <\/em>by Hans Memling.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

And also the newish World War II Museum <\/strong>which we’ve learned has a controversial history.<\/p>\n

The building is unique,<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

And the exhibits well-done, like this re-creation of a city street from the 1930’s.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The weather was a tiny bit warmer (52 degrees) so we took the train to the seaside town of Sopot<\/strong> on the Baltic Sea. We had to pay $2.00 each just to walk on this pier!<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Then this seagull wanted to charge us a fee to snap a photo!\ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Throughout our time in Poland we’ve enjoyed visiting interesting sites, eating delicious food, learning quite a lot of history and tasting a few Polish beers. We wholeheartedly recommend Poland as a destination!<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Tomorrow we’ll leave from Gda\u0144sk Lech Walesa Airport<\/strong>. We have a short layover in Amsterdam but hope to be home Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n

So long Gda\u0144sk! We hope to return one day!<\/p>\n
